Alligators: Alligators are a big tourist attraction of the everglades. They live in most parts of southern florida, not just the mangrove forests. The full grown male American Alligator can grow up to 11 feet long and can weigh up to 500 pounds.
Grey Heron is a very common bird in the everglades, In this picture it is in flight, so you can see that it;s neck is always bent in that way.
Fiddler Crabs are very commonly found in the everglades walking along the waters edge. there are many different species of Fiddler crab, but all can be easily identified by the one very large claw and the other one that is much smaller.
